Even though it is a mythical character it does not restrict real humans from expressing their love for it and the unicorn festival is a manifestation of one such phenomenon.

Melbourne Central’s Level 2 Link Bridge will be turned into a magical wonderland for two nights by all the shimmer, glitters and rainbows unicorns embody.

All great things unicorn will embellish in the Melbourne’s first ever finest Unicorn Festival. You can enjoy your unicorn-filled dreams here. Last year it took place on 3rd and 4th of August from 5 pm until 9 pm at Melbourne Central. The festival brings together “unicorns” (persons dressed as a unicorn), some of Melbourne’s finest bakers and photobooth fun.

Highlights include unicorn doughnuts from Doughboy’s and St Gerry’s, as well as rainbow creations, from the people at Bistro Morgan. You can also get to taste unicorn biscuits from Vickie Lui and customised chocolates by Only Mine. Too much sugary, rainbow goodness.

There’s no word yet on whether Real Unicorns will be in attendance, but we’ll keep you updated. Either way, there’s no shame in getting dressed like Unicorn’s for the festival, right?
